Janice Patrick Stillman who shortened her byline to JanS when in 1992 she formed JanS Ministries, was born and reared in sound country just at the south end of the Albemarle Sound Bridge in the Pea Ridge section of Washington County, North Carolina. At ten she emerged as a self-taught Church Pianist. Later, after receiving a ten-year certificate of study of piano, rearing four children with husband John R. Stillman, she reemerged as a published singer/songwriter beginning with Single releases "The Mountains Will Melt," on Eddie Crook Label, 1995 "God is Great," on Daystar Label 1996 "The Blood Still Cries Out," on the 3 R 1 Label,1998, "Angels" and others. She has completed two projects, "GRACE NOTES" on Daystar Label, 1995 "Forever His" on Vision Quest Label, 1998, and, "Adoration" 2003". A Volunteer for North Carolina Writer's Network, JanS taught songwriting to the inmates in Womens' Prison in Raleigh, North Carolina, Where with the help of Vision Quest, she produced in part a CD of Christmas songs written and sung by the inmates. In addition, JanS has taught piano, guitar, and voice since 1989. During the same time, the singer/songwriter has performed from Pennsylvania to South Carolina, directed choir, and won awards for her songs and for her performances.
